In the city center of Maribor, on a degraded area between Nasipna Street and the railway, and based on an invited international competition, taking place in the years 2007-2008, the 'Municipal Detailed Spatial Plan (OPPN) for part of the spatial planning unit Ta3-C' was developed and adopted. It envisages a complex and diverse mix of development of residential, commercial, congress, hotel, and commercial purposes including accommodation and catering capacities, as well as accompanying and other complementary programs, with the possibility of vertical accents and modern horticultural design, along with a comprehensive network of pedestrian and cycling paths.
